Ira Perez, a 22-year-old native Houstonian, is known as a triple threat to many in the music community -- she's a musician, singer, and song-writer. Her music, which she started writing at the age of 15, is inspired by many artists, including Adele, Corrine Bailey Rae, The Beatles, Lauren Hill, Muse, Erykah Badu, and Carole King. Ira's music and lyrics express a sense of heartfelt vulnerability, while, at the same time, revealing a maturity beyond her years. Her sound, which she calls "soulful alternative pop", encompasses the ethereal soul of Sade, the cleverness of Sara Bareilles, the sultry sensuality of Norah Jones, and the acoustic sensitivity of John Mayer.
